PSG keeping tabs on Idrissa Gueye

Idrissa Gueye is attracting a lot of interest from France with Paris Saint-Germain keen on adding a new number 6 to their ranks.

Idrissa Gueye has already shown that he has all the attributes to play for the best teams in Europe. After consistent displays in the Premier League for Everton, the 29 year old was in sparkling form for Ghana at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Since the return of Leonardo, PSG have already welcomed four new players. Marcin Bulka, Mitches Bakker, Ander Herrera and Pablo Sarabia have arrived. However, the club’s shopping spree isn’t over yet.

Les Parisiens are actively looking to sign a proper number 6. Since the retirement of Thiago Motta, this particular position has never been shored up. And while the likes of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic have been linked with a move to Parc des Princes, there are more options that are currently being explored.

One of those options is Idrissa Gueye. The midfielder has been attracting the interest of numerous sides this summer and it appears that he could fit the bill for PSG.

Opinion: Philippe Coutinho could block Neymar’s transfer

After so much drama with Neymar's return to FC Barcelona, Philippe Coutinho's loan to Bayern could make the deal fall apart. The worst possible news...

Everton seek at least € 30 million for the Senegalese which is a decent bargain for a player who is in the form of his life.

According to L’Equipe, the reigning Ligue 1 champions have already started negotiations with The Toffees who are looking to raise funds in order to bring more fresh faces to the Goodison Park.

And at the age of 29, the Merseysiders do not expect the player to command a hefty transfer fee anyway.

While Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has been the club’s main target, PSG have been forced to explore other options. The Serb is reportedly keen on a move to Manchester United with reports claiming of personal terms already being agreed upon.

Idrissa Gueye would definitely be a great yet short-term addition.
