PSG president Al-Khelaifi writes sends a serious letter to his players

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser al-Khelaifi has written to all his players, outlining the club’s support but also their expectations.

Al-Khelaifi, the frontman of the Qatar Sports Investment group that owns PSG, has addressed his players on his expectations during this time of uncertainty.

With all football on hold during the coronavirus outbreak, there is no official training and obviously no games.

In a letter to the club employees, he asked them to take the safety measures very seriously, he also insists that they do not neglect their responsibilities as professional athletes.

According to L’Equipe, he said:

“We all face a threat of unprecedented severity.”

“Because Paris Saint-Germain is a citizen and responsible club, management has issued, since last week, a set of clear and strong measures intended to protect all of its employees.”

“The priority in these difficult times is absolutely obvious: health, your health and that of your loved ones.”

“I wish you the greatest courage to apprehend this very particular period.”

“At a time when many of our usual concerns are relegated to the background, I would like to reaffirm our lifelong values ​​- team spirit, discipline, determination.”

“All of the players in football are today mobilized to face this unprecedented situation and you can count on my commitment in the various national and European bodies so that all the necessary measures are taken to safeguard all of the ‘ecosystem.”

“In the meantime, I know I can count on the commitment of each of you to continue your professional activity within the framework set by your manager, to ensure the continuity of the Club in these new times.”

The club president has also pledged the club’s support to its local community too.
