Teemu Pukki scored a brace that gave Finland a 3-0 victory over Liechtenstein and secured their place for the first time ever in a major tournament.
Finland has finally qualified for a major international tournament.
They have never made it out of the qualifying groups before.
Thanks to some heroics for Norwich striker Teemu Pukki, they will be playing next summer in the European Championships.
Finlands Jasse Tuominen broke the deadlock in the 21st minute, and then two second-half goals from the hero of the day Pukki took care of business.
When the final whistle went the Finnish fans charged the field in celebration and disbelief. The country went wild in jubilation and celebration at the amazing feat.
Speaking to the BBC, Premier League marksmen Pukki could not believe they had done it.
“I’m speechless. This is sick. We made it!”
“There’s a party for sure,”
