Christian Pulisic is hoping that Chelsea can translate their form from the end of the Premier League season into the upcoming FA Cup final.
Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic appeared to be lacking full fitness towards the end of the Premier League season.
Pulisic remained an unused substitute in his side’s 3-1 victory over Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-final.
In the 5-3 loss against Liverpool, he started on the bench and was brought in only near the hour mark. He did appear on the starting line-up in the final matchday against Wolves, but once again failed to play the full length of the match and was substituted 12 minutes from time.
It remained a serious concern as to whether the 21-year old would be fit to feature in the FA Cup final against Arsenal on Saturday.
Clearing the doubts, Pulisic suggested that his fitness issues were never too serious. He told ESPN FC: “I never had a real issue. I’m 100% fit.
“The final comes down to us against them, who is more ready to play on the day. Obviously, it gives us confidence that we’ve been in good form. We’ve been playing well and we’re going to try and bring that into the game.
“In the end, it is one game and in a final, anything can happen.”
