Christian Pulisic vows to return to full fitness like the wind after his recent injury setback while also commenting on the FA Cup loss.
Christian Pulisic gave Chelsea the lead just inside the first five minutes in the FA Cup final against Arsenal on Saturday.
Other than being an addition to his ever-growing goal collection, however, the strike proved to be inconsequential as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang‘s brace saw Arsenal go on to lift the trophy.
But that was not the only disappointment of the night for the American forward. He appeared to have pulled a muscle while making a run into the box. Pulisic, who was visibly in pain, was then taken off a couple of minutes into the second half.
The former Borussia Dortmund man is set to miss next weekend’s Champions League Last 16 second-leg against Bayern Munich. His presence for the start of the 2020/21 campaign also remains a doubt for now.
Pulisic, however, chooses to remain optimistic as he hopes to get back in action ‘in no time’.
In an Instagram post, he wrote: “Gave it everything we had. Wasn’t our day. Thank you guys for your support, I’ll be back in no time”
