Setien debuted with a tight 1-0 win over Granada at Camp Nou last night as the Catalans struggled to break through the opposition defence.
Setien will be happy with the result, although there’s still a lot more work to do.
The manager spoke after his first match at the helm. He was displeased at the extreme wind blowing in Barcelona last night.
“The wind dried the grass on the pitch and it slowed the game,” he said, according to El Chiringuito.
However, despite the wind, the passing game was on point for Blaugrana.
The Catalans took down all sorts of records, and it’s a strong foundation to build on for Setien.
The next La Liga opposition will be Valencia as Setien faces his first big test. In the meantime, Barca travel to face UD Ibiza in Copa del Rey.
