May 30th is not a particularly action-filled or exciting day in football history. That is unless you’re Nottingham Forest or Theo Walcott.
This date is of course the day when Nigel Clough famously led Nottingham Forest to their first European success in 1979. It is also the day that Walcott made England history.
Roll back the clock to 2006 and Walcott’s appearance from the bench made him the youngest player ever to make an appearance for the Three Lions.
He went on to have a mixed career with the national side. While there were highs, there were certainly plenty of lows as well.
In honour of the anniversary of his England debut, we decided to test your knowledge on the forward’s international career. Test yourself and let us know how you got on in the comments!
