Rafinha wants Messi-Neymar-Suarez ‘magic’ back at Barca

Rafinha hopes to see Neymar return to bring back the “pure magic” of his lethal attacking partnership with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez at Barcelona.

Two years after completing his world-record €222m move to Paris Saint-Germain, Neymar wants to return to Barcelona this summer.

The Brazilian superstar previously starred at Camp Nou between 2013 to 2017, where he scored 105 goals in 186 appearances. He also won two La Liga titles, three Copa del Reys and the Champions League.

The most notable aspect of Neymar’s time at Barcelona, though, was the partnership he developed with fellow forwards Messi and Suarez. Together, the trio [dubbed “MSN”] took the club to even greater heights and smashed numerous scoring records in the process.

Therefore, Rafinha hopes Neymar’s Barcelona return comes true so they can relive the good old days.

“I hope Neymar comes back. He is a great player that would be really good for Barcelona,” said Rafinha, according to Sport.

“I have never seen anything like the Messi-Ney-Suarez trident, pure magic. And I hope [Antoine] Griezmann comes, too.”

La Liga and Spanish FA argument could hurt Barca

Ernesto Valverde fears that the disagreement between the Spanish Football Association and La Liga could negatively impact his Barcelona side. The Barcelona manager is expressing...

Latest reports have claimed that Neymar’s father was seen in Barcelona to discuss a possible return for his son.

Rafinha, on the other hand, could be on his way out after making just eight appearances last season. Spanish media have linked him with a move to La Liga rivals Valencia.

But the Brazilian midfielder is determined to fight for his Barcelona future.

“I see myself in Barcelona next season and I will fight to continue,” said Rafinha.

“I want to play football and Barcelona is my home, I have a contract with the club and I have a lot of confidence.”

Rafinha is a product of Barcelona’s famed youth academy “La Masia” and has gone to make 87 first-team appearances. He’s scored 12 goals and made eight assists in the process.

With his contract up next summer, however, the Blaugrana may still opt to sell him now before losing him for nothing in 2020.
