After his stellar performance against the Czech Republic, winger Raheem Sterling established himself as Manchester City’s great European hope.

It was only a few weeks when Pep Guardiola told the press that one of the most decisive players he had this season was Raheem Sterling, a player who is seriously underrated by today’s standards and should get a lot more credit than he’s gotten throughout his whole career as a professional.

If he continues to play like he has been doing for the last couple of months, Pep Guardiola can finally say that he has a player who can decide the big matches for Manchester City and someone who can become the hero that the Catalan manager has been searching for since he stopped coaching Leo Messi.

Raheem Sterling has it all, he can score, he can assist, he can dribble, he has incredible pace, and a winning mentality that has brought him all the way to where he stands today. There aren’t too many football pundits in England today who don’t agree with the fact that Raheem Sterling is currently the best English player in the world.

His contribution to Manchester City’s final stretch of the season will be crucial in Pep Guardiola’s squad during their search for the coveted quadruple this season, but most importantly for the Champions League.

Let’s not forget that the Catalan manager doesn’t actually think that his squad is ready to compete for the biggest trophy of them all, but perhaps performances like this from Sterling are a big reason for him to feel hopeful that winning the title is actually within the realm of possibility this season.

However, there is no way that Pep Guardiola will come out and say that Sterling is the one man who has the skills that can take his players to the next level.

First of all, bragging about his elements other than Leo Messi has never really been Guardiola’s style.

Second of all, Pep knows perfectly that Sterling is only one of many great players who can actually help the squad win all the trophies.

As of right now, there are at least five great footballers who are going through a fantastic moment at Manchester City and Raheem Sterling is only one more of them.

The lucky moment could actually fall in the lap of people like Sergio Aguero, Leroy Sane, Bernardo Silva, Riyad Mahrez, and the English winger himself.

Signaling a single name out of this bunch would be a terrible mistake because Guardiola knows better.

There is no question that this was Raheem Sterling’s best moment with the England jersey, he can now see Harry Kane eye-to-eye and consider himself one of the top players in English football at the moment.

The praise that the Manchester City player has been getting from all over Europe has been unanimous so far, several prominent figures in the country have already expressed their full support for the player.

This brings forward a major question for all the readers and people who are aware of the great season Raheem Sterling is having so far, is he worthy of being considered to win the PFA Player of the Year Award this season.

It kind of looks like at the end of the year, Sterling will be the one who takes the prize and Virgil van Dijk will do the same if Liverpool is the squad that ends its curse and wins the Premier League for the first time in history.

Judging on both players’ performances so far this season, looks like all MVP awards this season are a matter of only two players.

We will make sure to enjoy every single minute of this contest between the two, rivalries like this are very rare in football and they are worthy of a good history lesson after a few years have gone by.
