Ivan Rakitic has insisted that he is happy with his playing time and that he is on good terms with boss Ernesto Valverde.
After complaining about the lack of time on the field, Ivan Rakitic has recently regained his position in the starting XI.
But the Croatian denied voicing his concern on being asked if he had raised the issue to Ernesto Valverde. Instead, Rakitic explained that his inclusion in the team has been a result of his dedication and extra efforts in the training ground.
As Marca reports, Ivan Rakitic insisted that he is totally behind his manager’s decisions while suggesting that he wanted to get the best out his time on the pitch.
“No [we haven’t spoken]. There’s nothing to say, I think everything is clear,” Rakitic told.
“For me, it’s important to enjoy football. I’m happy to go to training in the morning and prepare myself for a match in the best way possible.
“In the end, it’s the coach who decides who plays and how much,” the Barcelona midfielder said.
“In the last few months, I’ve tried to give my best in each training session and each match. I waited for my opportunity, it came and I want to take advantage of it.
