Ivan Rakitic has publicly declared his unhappiness with his situation at Barcelona but insists he is 100% committed to the club.
Ivan Rakitic has had a torrid season by his own high standards so far in Barcelona. The Croatian international is not used to being a bit-part player and has thus considered finding a new club.
However, for whatever reason, he is still in Catalonia. It is largely thought to be due to the demands of Barcelona in order to release the player.
The 31-year old still has another 18 months left in his current deal. Barca is not willing to let him go on the cheap.
Talk of a fee anywhere between 20 million and 30 million Euros.
After the club’s 2-1 victory over Levante, in which he played a rare full 90 minutes, he shared his despair at the current situation.
In an interview reported by AS, he was also keen to insist he will always give his current employers nothing less than his all.
“There have been things that I did not like.”
“The people who make decisions know it and we know it, there have been several things I do not like.”
“Now is not the time to speak. I want to turn the page. Work in the best possible way.”
“I want my colleagues, coaches, and fans to know that I am working at 100%.”
