Ivan Rakitic was almost out of the door for Barcelona back when they tried selling him in the latest moments of the transfer window in September, and then subsequently benched him for most of the season.
However, Rakitic bounced back, making three consecutive starts for Barca.
They weren’t any starts either – Barcelona played all of their crucial matches in the last 10 days.
Rakitic was a big part of three wins in those matches.
Now, the story of Rakitic and Blaugrana looks a lot different.
“I want to give my all and if I can play here then I’ve always said that there’s no better place than Barcelona to keep winning trophies, it’s the perfect place for me,” he said, as quoted by Marca.
Looks like the Croat is adamant on staying in Barca. The feeling looks to be mutual, which means that Arturo Vidal might leave the club as soon as January arrives.
