Sergio Ramos has hit out at referee Hernandez Hernandez for his inconsistent decision making during Real Madrid’s loss to Levante.

Real Madrid slipped up yet again as they were beaten 1-0 by Levante in their La Liga outing last night.

Following the loss, Zinedine Zidane’s men gifted their La Liga lead to Barcelona who now have a one-point cushion a the top of the table.

Out of numerous controversial decisions that seemed to have influenced the end result of the match, one was the referee failing to call out a handball inside the Real Madrid box.

Several Real Madrid players appealed for a penalty following the incident but the referee waved them away.

After the match, Sergio Ramos expressed his frustration at the match official Alejandro Hernandez Hernandez’s decision. The Spaniard also suggested that the referees should be more respectful towards the captains.

“I don’t like talking about referees as they can make mistakes, but sometimes it makes you think,” Ramos said as per Goal.

“The criteria is different. They gave a penalty against me for an involuntary handball in the Supercopa de Espana. Today, there are two and they don’t give it. I’m annoyed with Hernandez Hernandez. Referees were more respectful before and captains could speak to them.

“The arrogance is something that you have or you don’t have.”
