Sheyi Ojo has been acquired by Scottish giants Rangers on a loan move from Liverpool as the youngster looks to gain first team experience.
Rangers manager, Steven Gerrard has received a great bit of help from his former club. The arrival of Ojo to Glasgow is a huge boost for the club and the player himself. The youngster has represented England at Under 16 and Under 21 levels and is one to watch out for the future.
Ojo is yet to become an established presence in the Reds first team but has went on loan spells to the likes of Wolves, Fulham and Wigan. Last season, Liverpool sent Ojo to Ligue 1 outfit Stade de Reims where he made 17 appearances scored one goal.
The winger is now moving to Rangers who are keen to add fresh talent in their ranks. Last season, bitter rivals Celtic won the league title and Gerrard wants things to be different next season. According to Mirror, Ojo is expected to link up with his new teammates next week. Ojo should be looking to make his mark as soon as possible.
Jurgen Klopp meanwhile, will be hoping that the move is a successful one for the youngster. Only last season, Ryan Kent was sent to the Ibrox where he impressed a lot. Kent made 43 appearances for the Rangers and was even named PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year.
However, Kent’s immediate future is still not certain. The youngster may or may not be moved on. The likes of newly-promoted Aston Villa and Championship outfit Leeds United have been credited with interest. Rangers are also keen to have him return to the Ibrox again.
Rangers finished second in the Scottish Premier League last season and were nine points behind their rivals. Gerrard would be hoping to close the gap this time around and could do with Kent returning.
