Antonio Conte joined Inter this summer to find a hungry squad ready to go all the way. Among those players was Andrea Ranocchia.
The tall centre-back is happy that Conte arrived, as he’s looking to lift some trophies after nine years at Inter.
Even though he was sent on a couple of loans, Ranocchia is ready to be a part of the winning squad at 31.
Ranocchia played over 200 matches for Inter, and the fans recognize him as one of the symbols of the club nowadays.
In an interview at Trento Sports Festival, he was asked about Spalletti:
“The coach is very strong. The episode of the attack on the fan that criticized me was taken up by everyone, we stayed on excellent terms,” he said.
“I will thank him all my life. He made me feel important for the club.”
When talking about his current manager, Ranocchia added:
“I’ve known him for a long time, we’ve always had a great shrewdness.
“He makes us run a lot, gives everything and improves the players. We want to raise some trophies.”
Finally, Ranocchia concluded commenting on his club captain, Handanovic:
”I have never seen a professional like this, he is a true captain, really incredible.”
Ranocchia played two full matches this season, and he will hope to impose himself in the starting eleven as the season goes on.
The Scudetto race will be tight, and Conte won’t have a choice but to use the full depth of his squad to keep up with Champions League along with Italian league and cup.
