Marcus Rashford is full of praise for his young teammate Mason Greenwood, insisting all he needs to do is the same thing he has done all season.
While this 2019/20 season has been a little hit and miss for Manchester United until the form they have displayed of late.
One thing that has been a definite hit is teenage forward Mason Greenwood.
The Red Devils youngster has been in scintillating form and forced his way into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s starting lineup of late.
His selection has only been validated further by his brace in the game against Bournemouth this weekend.
In an interview reported by Goal, the England forward said:
“He’s a fantastic player. I’ve watched him before he got to the first-team.”
“It was never a matter of if was going to play with us, it was just when. When can we get him involved?”
Rashford credits his manager with handling the prodigious talents development perfectly.
“Ole has done a terrific job with him.”
“First of all, he put him in the squad and brought him on against PSG and that for a player, as a first step, it’s huge and it shows that the manager had confidence in him.”
“You’ve got no reason not to have confidence in a player like Mason.”
“But, for me, I just tell him to keep doing what he’s doing because what he does is score goals, so he doesn’t need to do anything else.”
Do Manchester United really need to recruit more attacking options this summer with the emergence of Greenwood.
