Rashford gutted – injury could mean he misses the Liverpool game

Marcus Rashford is gutted after having to leave tonight’s game early with an injury which means he could now miss Sunday’s clash with Liverpool.

United eventually triumphed over a resilient Wolves, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s attempts to shuffle the pack made the job hard work.

The Norwegian tactician tried to rest Marcus Rashford tonight. But with his side struggling, he had no choice but to cut his time off short.

Rashford was introduced to the FA Cup tie against Wolves in the 64th minute.

However, after only 16 minutes the England striker went down and struggles to get back up.

He tried to labor on but to no avail. He was replaced by Jesse Lingard in the 80th minute.

His manager called it a “gamble that didn’t pay off.”

While the player has taken to social media and described himself as gutted.

He said:

“Never want to feel like I’ve let my teammates, the club and most importantly the fans down.”

“So did my very best to carry on tonight and was gutted to come off.”

“Top work from the lads to get into the next round.”
