Marcus Rashford has been in sublime form for both his club and country and the forward thinks he knows why.
Marcus Rashford added to another one to his goalscoring spree against Kosovo on Sunday. The goal did not help much apart from taking his tally to three goals in twice the number of matches in the qualifiers.
With Manchester United, Rashford has been equally good. The number-10 scored a brilliant knuckleball free-kick against Chelsea to send his side further into the League Cup. Later, against Brighton, he scored his sixth goal for United this season.
Both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Garry Southgate have trusted Rashford and it seems to be paying off. The 22-year old has credited his sublime performance in front of the goal to his extended run of play.
“It has been a tough period and now I’m getting consistent games and playing week in, week out,” The Express reported Rashford saying.
“As a forward that has huge importance.
“If you are not in the team and you’re in and out, you don’t quite have that confidence in front of goal.
“But when you’re having a run in the team it’s important to come up with the goods and once you start doing that it becomes second nature.”
The double move 🔥🔥🔥
