Marcus Rashford goes live to talk about his hero Cristiano Ronaldo and the possibility of working with Jadon Sancho at the club level.
With footballers on lockdown and the fans missing their heroes, players are reaching out to the masses via social media. Marcus Rashford reveals all on Instagram Live.
The Manchester United star had been out of action with a serious back injury before the coronavirus suspension of football.
However, in an Instagram Live Q&A session, the England marksman answered some great questions about his beloved club, as well as players of the past, present, and future.
When asked about his idol, it had to be a United legend.
“Idol growing up? Rooney and Ronaldo.”
“Just watching them closely when they were playing, they were young and full of energy. It was a great experience watching them.”
On his current teammates:
“Bruno Fernandes, he’s creative and very forward-thinking.”
“It’s definitely going to be good playing with him. Hopefully, we can have some good times together.”
“Mason Greenwood’s potential rating out of ten?”
“10/10. As a forward, there’s not much else you can ask for in natural ability.”
Here is where things got a little interesting and will certainly get tongues wagging.
What about Jadon Sancho?
“Jadon Sancho plays off the cuff. He’s imaginative.”
“I think in this generation, they’re the things you need to be world-class.”
“It would be good if Jadon Sancho joined #mufc. Sancho is a great player.”
“He’s like the new generation player.”
“It’s definitely exciting to watch the player he’s becoming, hopefully, we can all play together.”
“That would be good.”
