Real Madrid have confirmed that both Casemiro and Nacho Fernandez sustained injuries in their 4-2 win at Celta Vigo on Sunday
The European champions confirmed the news on Monday with Casemiro out with an ankle injury, while Nacho has knee ligament damage.
Reports in the Spanish media have suggested that Nacho could be looking at eight weeks on the sidelines.
But Real gave no timetable for the Spanish full-back’s return.
“Following tests carried out on Nacho by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a dislocation of the internal collateral ligament of the right knee,” read a statement on the club website.
“His recovery will continue to be assessed.”
Meanwhile, Casemiro’s ankle problem is not expected to take so long to recover – But, again, Real refused to disclose a timetable.
Sergio Reguillon is also an injury concern after being withdrawn on Sunday.
Dani Carvajal, Raphael Varane, Marcelo and Jesus Vallejo are all currently sidelined for Real.
