With goals from young Brazilian stars Vinicius and Rodrygo, Real Madrid defeated Osasuna at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

This was the ideal match for Real Madrid’s young Brazilian talents to respond to the challenge, they played against Osasuna at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Zinedine Zidane decided to rest some of his best players with next weekend’s match against Atletico Madrid.

Gareth Bale, Eden Hazard, and Karim Benzema were rested this evening. Most of the other starring players who performed in Sevilla last weekend also got some rest, Zidane wanted to give a chance to some of his other young talents.

Only Toni Kroos, Sergio Ramos, and Casemiro played against Osasuna. It was evident that this match at the Bernabeu was a new challenge for Los Blancos, the players responded well to Zidane’s demands.

The most surprising performances actually came from young Vinicius Junior on the attack and young Federico Valverde in midfield.

The Brazilian scored a fantastic goal during the first half of the game, a curler from outside of the box that was slightly deviated by a defender.

The youngster got on his knees after his goal, and started crying out of sheer pressure. This is the first time that Vinny scores a legitimately good goal for Real Madrid.

Los Blancos’ defensive work was also quite outstanding, with young Valverde making great efforts to help the defense against Osasuna’s attacks. Both him and Vinicius left the pitch with a standing ovation.

The second half gave us more of this sober Real Madrid squad that took defensive duties more seriously, Eder Militao was also on point as Sergio Ramos’ couple in the back.

Fifteen minutes into the second half, striker Luka Jovic got a chance to score after a Lucas Vazquez assist. He even celebrated the goal with all his teammates but the ref had another plan in mind.

After watching the replay, it was clear that he was slightly offside when Lucas released his pass.

Mateu Lahoz decided to disallow the goal after consulting VAR, this match was only one goal away from becoming a new problem for Zidane’s boys.

However, Los Blancos’ defensive work was outstanding for one more game. The manager even held the same lineup until the final 15 minutes of the match, which was the time he decided to make the first substitution of the game.

The first player who left was Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo Goes took his place and nobody was prepared for what was coming.

The young Brazilian needed only two minutes to score his first-ever La Liga goal as a Real Madrid player, he scored after a long-range pass from Casemiro.

It’s evident that Zidane made the right choice by leaving Goes on the team instead of Kubo this season, he responded with this valuable goal.

Real Madrid goes top before the Derby.

It was just last week when we were all creating different scenarios for Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane wasn’t the manager in most of them.

That defeat against Paris Saint-Germain was a cathartic moment for the players, who realized that the gaffer trusted them and they needed to respond accordingly.

Today’s performance proves that the players still believe in Zidane’s ideas, they blindly trust their manager and everybody is starting to give back the trust with great sacrifice.

But the biggest story of the day ahead of the Madrid Derby are the two young Brazilians, who could easily get some minutes at the Metropolitano next weekend.

Vinicius finally got a huge load off his back with that goal, and Rodrygo made history after his goal.

It took the youngster only 95 seconds to score his first goal with Los Blancos, which made him the fastest debutant to do it in Real Madrid’s history.

Before him, David Beckham scored his first goal with the Spanish giants after 124 seconds on the pitch.

Keep in mind that Rodrygo is only 18 years old, he is one of Brazil’s brightest young stars alongside teammates Vinicius.

Zinedine Zidane must be thrilled to know that he has all of his players fully committed to the cause, but they still have a trip to Atletico Madrid’s stadium next weekend.

It’s safe to say that ‘Zizou’ is as ready as he will ever be for this Madrid Derby.
