Emilio Butragueno believes Vinicius Junior has great potential to succeed at Real Madrid.
Real Madrid has been hit with another injury blow with Eden Hazard being sidelined due to an ankle problem. The club recently confirmed that Hazard can be out until the next year.
On the number-7’s absence, Zinedine Zidane played his starlet Vinicius Junior in Real Madrid’s earlier fixture against Mallorca. The young Brazilian did not disappoint his manager as he went on to put a brilliant display.
Former Real Madrid forward Emilio Butragueno was full of praise for Vinicius Jr. The club spokesman highlighted the 19-year old’s strengths while backing him for having a great future at the Bernabeu.
“I think he completed a great match,” Butragueno told as per Goal.
“I was an attacker myself and I know what I’m talking about.
“For someone to create as many goal scoring chances, he is just wonderful. He dribbles past opponents, he is powerful and he’s quick. He’s completed an excellent match,” Butragueno explained.
“It’s true that most people talk about goals. But he’s still a very, very young player and he creates so many plays. So we understand that he has great potential and we have to take advantage of it.”
