Real Madrid loan Odegaard to Vitesse

The once called “wonder kid” is not being loaned again by Los Merengues; he has not debuted in La Liga

Real Madrid announced this Tuesday that Norwegian “wonder kid” Martin Odegaard will be loaned for one year to Dutch Eredivisie team Vitesse.

The once called “the future of Madrid” has yet to play with the first team in La Liga.

He only made it to the first team in 2016, in a Copa del Rey Round of 32 match.

Now, after spending a season and a half in Heerenveen, he will join Vitesse.

“The past year and a half I have played in the Eredivisie,” Odegaard said as reported by NBC Sports.

“I was impressed by Vitesse. I got to know Vitesse as a good footballing team, with an offensive and dominant view of the game.”

“I think that way of playing is good for me,” he added.

“Vitesse has also shown that it gives young players a chance. That is why I am happy with the opportunity that Vitesse offers me.”
