With a solo goal from Harry Kane during the first half, Real Madrid gave their fans another horror show against Tottenham Hotspur.
Things in the pre-season are starting to get ridiculous for Real Madrid, the humiliating defeat from last week was accompanied by another one today vs Tottenham Hotspur.
Mauricio Pochettino’s squad played against Los Blancos at Allianz Arena, it was part of the summer Audi Cup that hosts the biggest clubs that the car company sponsors.
After today’s game, Los Blancos still have another three matches before a new La Liga season starts.
Zinedine Zidane’s squad is clearly in shambles and they can’t seem to know how to get out of this predicament.
It appears that last week’s humiliating 7-3 defeat against Atletico Madrid left an open wound, many of the players who were part of that squad repeated a role in this one.
The only goal of the game came during the first half, it happened right after Marcelo gave Harry Kane an assist.
This is yet another proof that the Brazilian left-back doesn’t have the defensive capabilities that other Real Madrid player can have, he was utterly distracted when he gave the ball to the dangerous English striker.
This goal was more than enough for Tottenham to win the match, but the rest of the game was completely dominated by the Spurs.
Only Keylor Navas’ interventions saved Los Blancos from an even bigger humiliation.

Zidane is in a difficult position after this match.
Despite getting another terrible result in a friendly match, Zinedine Zidane knows that losing one more game is terrible for his image.
The manager didn’t need to return to Los Blancos after his perfect three seasons with the club, but he did it only because he loves Real Madrid.
Most of us feared that bad results would come his way, something that could eventually satin his immaculate reputation as a professional manager.
Although it’s still too early to start predicting when Florentino Perez will sack ‘Zizou’, we can’t help but start thinking about this as a possibility.
We know that these results during the pre-season are not ideal to measure a manager’s work, but this bad momentum could stretch all the way to the official season.
If Zidane keeps getting these results during his first two months of La Liga, there is no reason for him to not get sacked by Florentino Perez quite early.
The players are truly letting their manager down, most of them are not responding to the trust that Zidane placed in them.
One who did was Keylor Navas though, he is one of the few footballers from the “old project” who actually came out unscathed from this pre-season experiment.

Real Madrid players might bounce back when things get serious.
We can’t rule out the possibility that many of these Real Madrid players will change their level of performance as soon as the season starts.
This tends to happen with every single project, most of the footballers who are not performing well should come back stronger when they have to play in Vigo.
Sergio Ramos was not at his best during most of this pre-season, Eden Hazard can’t be judged by his first couple performances with Los Blancos.
The 7-3 defeat against Atletico Madrid was alarming, but this is still a pre-season match. All we can say is that Zinedine Zidane is not happy with these results and he is very disappointed with the board of directors.
The French manager has been begging for Paul Pogba all summer, but Florentino’s response has been negative every time.
The president doesn’t think that Paul is a sure bet, offering more than €150 million for this player is not in his plans.
This is what Zidane hates about Perez, the lack of commitment when it comes to signing Pogba.
The coach promised titles only if the board signed every single player he requested, and they are not honoring their end of the deal when he agreed to return.
