Real Madrid have decided that they will make Chelsea winger Eden Hazard their number one target for this summer’s transfer window
Hazard, who has a contract with last season’s Premier League champions till 2019, has been in fine form for the club again this season with 15 goals and 4 assists in 35 games for Chelsea this season.
Both Real and coach Zinedine Zidane have publicly admitted their admiration of Hazard in the past and and Real president Florentino Perez has been keeping a close eye of the Belgium international’s progress in his contract talks with Chelsea.
The Express has reported that Hazard has been stalling on signing a new deal with Chelsea after learning of Real’s interest in him.
Hazard has never held back on speaking of his admiration for Real and just last November, in an interview with Canal+, the 27 year-old refused to rule out a move the Spanish capital one day.
“Everyone knows the admiration I have for Real, but for now I’m a Blue.” said Hazard, as quoted on the Express.
Amid an injury ridden spell at the club, Perez is now willing to include Gareth Bale as part of a £100m bid for Hazard. The Welshman has faced much scrutiny from the Real faithful over the years and is rumoured to be unhappy at the club.
