Real Madrid step up Christian Eriksen pursuit

Christian Eriksen has already said that he wants to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer and Real Madrid are looking to make their move.

Without Christian Eriksen, Tottenham have always struggled to stamp their authority in most games. The Dane has been a modicum of consistency for the club for several years. However, it is likely that Christian Eriksen will leave the club this summer.

And though Mauricio Pochettino would not want that to happen, the Argentine tactician is pretty much helpless if the player wishes to leave. Real Madrid are keeping a keen eye on proceedings and are looking to make their move.

As reported by the Daily Star, Los Blancos are looking to make Tottenham an offer for Christian Eriksen the English club might not refuse.

Although Daniel Levy is a shrewd businessman, he might not be unable to strike a bargain this time around. The Madrid giants have already spent an astonishing €300 million on the likes of Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy and Rodrygo.

Marcelo takes a dig at Santiago Solari, he prefers Zidane

After a terrible year under Santiago Solari, Marcelo wasn't nice to the Argentine coach and he obviously picked Zidane above him. Last season for Marcelo...

And it appears that Zinedine Zidane’s side aren’t done yet. The Bernabeu bosses are now gazing their sights on a move for Christian Eriksen who is being seen as a potential upgrade to Luka Modric.

The Dane has been with the Spurs since 2013 but would want to experience something new. And with Spurs unable to win any silverware, Eriksen might be attracted by the prospect of playing at a club that’s always fighting for top prizes.

“I have the wildest and deepest respect for everything that has happened at Tottenham. But I have also said that I would like to try something new,” Eriksen said after the Champions League final defeat.

Reports claim that Real Madrid are willing to offer Spurs Dani Ceballos plus cash for the former Ajax midfielder. Ceballos has no place in the Madrid team and a move to Spurs might help the youngster play under a manager who is very good at getting the best out of young players.
