According to the former Los Blancos manager, Jose Mourinho, he learned a lot in the Spanish La Liga giants as he says he has the best memories from his former club.
Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho has managed the biggest clubs in football.
He managed Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, and Manchester United.
But according to an interview with Marca, his best memories were with Los Blancos in the Spanish La Liga tournament.
“Real Madrid was my best experience because of what I learned as a coach, as a man, from the lessons I took in my career and in my life,” Mourinho said.
“It’s the best memory of my career, it was fantastic.”
“What they asked me to do at Real Madrid suited my nature,” Mourinho noted.
“We had to prevent Barcelona from crushing us and that’s why the Mestalla Copa final is the most important [trophy he won].”
“From there, nothing was the same. We won LaLiga, the Supercopa, but nothing was like that Copa final,” he added.
“Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to win any of the three Champions League semi-finals [I took Madrid to].”
