Many punters visit casinos not with Gamstop, to place bets on football. This is why football is the most popular game in the world. It is played and followed across continents and oceans.

Millions of people have their favourite team, whether a local football club or a foreign club playing thousands of miles across the globe. Big football clubs like Manchester United, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Paris St German have entertained fans worldwide for decades, showcased exciting football and provided some of the best players the game had to offer.

The same applies to football clubs hailing from South America, especially Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay. Clubs like Flamengo, Boca Juniors, Corinthians, and Nacional have also provided top-class footballers.

Just to mention, a few of the legendary players that have put their mark on football include the great Pele from Brazil, Messi from Argentina, Bobby Charlton from England, George Best from Ireland, Gerd Mueller from Germany, Gigi Riva from Italy, and Diego Maradona from Argentina. Many others have successfully performed brilliantly on the football field, and one cannot exclude the goal-scoring machine, Cristian Ronaldo.

The early days of Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo hailed from Portugal and played for Sporting, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus. Now, he is back wearing the Red Devils shirt from Manchester. Many consider CR7 as the best player in the world, and others may remember the talents of Pele, Diego Maradona, and Bobby Charlton.

Today, football fans often compare the football skills and talents of Cristiano Ronaldo with those of Lionel Messi. Messi, who hails from Argentina, is a different player than Ronaldo. While Ronaldo depends on his speed and scoring acumen and requires the assistance of his teammates to find the net, Messi can dribble the past ball players, initiate moves from midfield, have a better vision of the game, and can also put the ball in the net. It is tough to choose the best; however, Cristiano Ronaldo seems to have the edge. At his age, he is still playing top-notch football. He still has the eagerness to win and score goals. He still makes a difference in the game wherever he plays, whether in Spain, England, Italy, or with the national team of Portugal. Most of all, he has the physic of a twenty/thirty years old and is very conscious of keeping his body in perfect condition.

From a skinny boy who once assured his father that he would lift his family from poverty, Ronald defeated all odds and managed to keep his promise by becoming one of the best and most paid footballers.

The many talents of CR7

CR7’s primary talent is that of scoring goals. His ability to find the net comes as an effortless feat for Ronaldo. So far in his career, he scored more than one thousand goals, and this figure is expected to increase as CR7 is still very active in football. In 2019, he made the headlines by scoring 700 goals, making him the sixth-highest goalscoring player. A significant chunk of his goals was for the clubs he played for. Whilst playing in Spain for Real Madrid, he scored four hundred and fifty goals; at Manchester United under the managership of Sir Alex Ferguson he scored one hundred and nineteen goals, and the figure excludes the number of goals he scored for the Red Devils since he returned to the club from Juventus. At Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo scored more than one hundred goals.

His goalscoring talent has enabled Ronaldo to claim twenty-eight trophies in his career, and this is a clear reflection of his extraordinary zeal and hunger for success. Whether it was the national team of Portugal or the football clubs he played for, Ronaldo left his mark and managed to win at least a trophy wherever he played.

At Sporting Lisbon, he won the Portuguese Super Cup. When playing for the Red Devils, he won the English Premier League three times, the Football Association Cup, the UEFA Champions League, and the FIFA Club World Cup. In Spain, he won the La Liga twice, the UEFA Champions League four times, the UEFA Super Cup twice, and the FIFA Club World Cup four times. At Juventus, he won the Serie A title more than once and the Italian Super Cup. For his country’s national team Portugal, he won the 2016 Euro Championship.

Individual achievements for legendary football skills

Besides his achievements with the clubs and national teams, CR7 has also won endless individual achievements, including the Ballon d’Or three times, the FIFA Ballon d’Or twice, and the FIFA World Player of the Year once. He also won the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year Award three times and the Champions League Forward of the Season on two occasions.

CR7 has the natural ability to what is called an iron-fist determination to succeed. At the inception of his career, he was a skinny lad and often left on the sidelines without the manager using his services. This state of affairs urged the young Ronaldo to follow a strict pattern of physical exercise to build up his body and increase his muscular size and density. He also worked hard on his rudimentary talent and skills. This regimental pattern he still follows today and his hunger for success made CR7 what he is today – one of the greatest players in the world.

How Ronaldo scores goals one after the other

Every football striker can score goals. One can see this in Pele, Maradona, Gerd Muller, Gigi Riva, Lionel Messi, and Harry Kane. Ronaldo takes this ability beyond the realms of reality. Scoring average goals for Ronaldo is not enough, but scoring goals remarkably makes him the best of the best. One of the most iconic goals he netted was in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League between Real Madrid and Juventus. His bicycle kick from the 18-yard box to score his team’s second goal brought massive applause from Juventus supporters. Ironically, this feat, together with the appreciation of the goal by the opposing supporters, was one of the major factors that brought Ronaldo to play for Juventus.

You can call Cristiano Ronaldo a showman, a narcissist or even an egoist footballer. Still, with all these credentials, it is no wonder that Cristiano Ronaldo is considered the best footballer in the world.
