Cristiano Ronaldo has not yet fully recovered from his knee injury he suffered in the first half of the season.
If there’s one thing that Cristiano Ronaldo has firmly established over the years, no matter how slow of a start to his season, is to never ever write him off.
The 34-year old has taken the Serie A by storm in the second half of the season. Apart from scoring in each of his last eight games, Ronaldo also scored a hat-trick and a brace to take his tally to 20 goals this season.
But according to some reports, the Portuguese is still not playing at his 100 percent efficiency. Instead, Ronaldo feels he is only performing at 60-70 percent of his potential.
As Calciomercato reports, Ronaldo hasn’t been able to fully recover from his knee injury yet. After suffering from the injury, he was advised to take rest and take time off of the pitch. But he insisted on playing, putting his health at risk, in order to help Portugal qualify for the European tournament.
Fortunately, for Ronaldo, he seems to have put behind his fitness issue. But considering his age, the 34-year old should probably not risk his career as he plans to play until the age of 40, or even beyond.
