Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice in the 2-1 win against Parma to give Juventus a solid lead at the top of the Serie A standings.
As things stand, Ronaldo is likely to win yet another Scudetto with Juventus.
Following a 2-1 win over Parma in which the Portuguese ace scored both goals, Juventus are now at the top of the Italian Serie A standings and lead Inter Milan by four points. This is clearly going to be another year with another trophy in the bag for the Turin giants.
And this time around, it will be all the more sweeter given the fact that their talismanic leader has a handful of records to showcase.
In the game against Parma, Ronaldo ended up making a couple of records that is something we have come to expect from him.
Ronaldo is now the ONLY player to have scored at least 15 goals in the five major European leagues for 14 seasons in a row since 2006/07. All this started way back in the days when Ronaldo was playing for Manchester United.
The forward carried this form to Real Madrid for almost a decade and continued from where he left off when he joined Juventus.
However, this wasn’t the only record Ronaldo made last night.
By scoring a brace against Parma, Ronaldo has also equaled long-time rival Lionel Messi as the all-time top-scoring player in the history of Europe’s top five leagues. Both men have 432 goals to their names.
And at the pace these guys are going at, it is clear that there is no stopping them anytime soon!
