Reinier has stated that it was among his greatest ambitions to play for Real Madrid ever since his childhood days.
Real Madrid’s latest signing Reiner is over the moon after being unveiled at the Santiago Bernabeu as the new player and says he wants to earn a place in the club’s history books.
The 18-year old finalized his switch to Real Madrid earlier in January.
Renier committed his long term future with Los Blancos and penned down a six-year deal with the club after completing his €35 million move from Flamengo.
The Brazilian will follow in the footsteps of his countrymen Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior. He will initially register with Real Madrid’s Castilla team until the end of the season. Later, depending on his development, Reinier will become a part of the club’s first team.
Speaking during his presentation, Reinier thanked his family members and the club president, Florentino Perez, for helping him realize his ‘childhood dream.’
“I am living a childhood dream. I want to be part of the great history at this club,” Reinier said, as reported by Goal.
“Thanks to the president, managers, and family who always thought I could get here.
“Today is a day of great happiness for me. Hala Madrid!”
