Reinier Jesus is delighted at the prospect of playing under Zinedine Zidane.

Real Madrid recently completed the signing of Brazilian teenage sensation Renier Jesus from Flamengo for a fee of €35 million.

The 18-year old has planned a long term stay at the Santiago Bernabeu and has signed a six-year deal with the club until 2026. Initially, Reinier will be joining Real Madrid Castilla till his under-23 Pre-Olympic Tournament with Brazil. He will then be slowly administered in the first team.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Marca, Reinier expressed his admiration for Los Blancos. The ‘new Kaka’, as he is dubbed, also proclaimed his love for Zinedine Zidane and club legend Raul.

“Real Madrid is the greatest,” Reinier declared.

“When I was very small I already saw the matches of Real Madrid with the “Galacticos”, I watched with my father. I loved Madrid. And of course, since then I have always loved them. The four Champions League triumphs that Madrid has won in recent years had given me happiness and pride that is difficult to explain.

“There are so many great players. To know that I’ll be able to meet Raul and Zidane is already something incredible. They are two legends of football and of Real Madrid.”
