Report: Barcelona to offer €100m and 3 players for Neymar

Explosive report coming from Globoesporte suggests that FC Barcelona is preparing €100 million and three of their best players for Neymar.

Now that Neymar has become one of the players who could leave PSG this summer, FC Barcelona is willing to make an insane offer for him.

The Catalan club is willing to go to extreme lengths to get one of their best players back on the roster.

They are not willing to pay the €250 million that Nasser Al-Khelaifi is requesting for their star, but they are finding other ways to convince the club.

According to a report from Globoesporte, the Catalan club is getting ready an offer that will be very hard to refuse.

Paris Saint-Germain is trying to get some interesting players that can help them fulfill their dream of winning the UEFA Champions League.

If Neymar leaves the club, this means they should get at least one player who can replace him and get more competitive names for other positions.

FC Barcelona wants to get rid of several players from the squad during the summer and using some of them as bargaining chips could be a great option.

Given that Neymar is worth so much money according to PSG’s chairman, the plan Barcelona has is to offer €100 million and three players to the French giants.

The choices they made to include in the negotiation, are footballers who are considered world-class and people who would be difficult to reject by Paris Saint-Germain.

Samuel Umtiti, the easiest to convince.

Given how FC Barcelona has treated Samuel Umtiti during the second half of last season, the French defender would be keen on taking a new career path.

Clement Lenglet’s arrival and his injury sent him straight to the bench during a very complicated moment for the Catalan club.

Umtiti returned to activity but he never found the way to take his place back in the squad, he is already looking for a new destination next season.

Globoesporte confirmed that Umtiti is the first of three players that Barcelona would offer in exchange for Neymar.

The second name is also a French player, Ousmane Dembele would be the option.

The young France international has suffered too many injuries last season, he was also really undisciplined and left many Barcelona officials unhappy with his level of performance.

Official: Christopher Nkunku leaves PSG for RB Leipzig

RB Leipzig have confirmed their capture of midfielder Christopher Nkunku from French champions Paris Saint-Germain in a €15m deal.

The Catalan club considers him one of the best players in the world, but he still hasn’t reached his true potential and the club is fresh out of patience.

Dembele is the second player that FC Barcelona would include in the negotiation, his value on Transfermarkt goes up to €100 million.

He did cost Barcelona around €125 million but the Catalan club reckons he’s lost some value over the last couple of seasons due to his lack of consistency.

Rakitic would be a difficult option.

Even though manager Ernesto Valverde confirmed that Ivan Rakitic was one of the players he admires the most, he had to give in to the board’s demands.

The Croatian midfielder didn’t exactly respond well to the manager’s trust this season.

The board considers that selling him would be the better option, and Valverde appeared to agree with this in the end.

This is why Barcelona has included this player among the three offers in order to bring Neymar back to the Catalan club.

If we do the count, all three players combined are worth €185 million and Barcelona is also including €100 million in the offer.

This is considered a gesture of goodwill from Barcelona because they want Nasser Al-Khelaifi happy with an offer he can’t refuse.

There is still nothing confirmed on the official offer, but Neymar appears to be getting closer to a return to the place where he was the happiest.

Having the Brazilian back at the club would mean that Barcelona can be considered a title contender once again.

Even if the Brazil captain is still injured, there is a greater chance for him to play better football at Barcelona than anywhere else.

We expect more news on this situation over the next couple of weeks.
