David Moyes has emerged as a potential candidate to replace Miguel Cardoso as the new manager of Ligue 1 side Nantes
The 55-year-old coach has been out of work since being released by West Ham United at the end of last season, despite keeping the club in the Premier League.
Recently Moyes has been linked with a surprise role as the new manager of the United States national team.
But the Daily Mirror now claims that another possibility has arisen for Moyes in Nantes.
Les Canaris are considering whether or not to make an approach for the Scotsman after a disappointing start to the season.
Nantes are currently managed by Miguel Cardoso, who replaced the ousted Claudio Ranieri in June.
However, life under the Portuguese coach has not had the best of starts with Nantes 19th in the Ligue 1 table with just five points from their opening seven games.
Moyes has previously managed the likes of Everton, Manchester United and Real Sociedad.
In his 20 years of senior-level football management, Moyes has won 387 of his 919 games in charge with a winning percentage of 42%.
