Report: Eriksen deal may still happen

Eriksen to leave Tottenham was apparently a sure thing.

It was supposed to be a battle between Real Madrid and Manchester United.

It still remains to be seen if the aforementioned two will even be contenders.

However, according to The Telegraph, Tottenham is readying themselves for a barrage of cut-price offers from across Europe.

Apparently, Spurs are still trying to convince Bruno Fernandes that the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is the ideal new home for him.

It is believed Fernandes favours a move to Manchester United. His dream is to follow in Cristiano Ronaldo’s footsteps.

Giovani Lo Celso is also a name Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been heavily linked with.

Both are considered a readymade replacement for the wantaway Danish international.

Eriksen is entering the last 12 months of his contract.

Club chairman Daniel Levy will not want to face the prospect of losing him for nothing.

Last seasons 130 million pound valuation by Levy now seems a little far fetched. He may be forced to settle for considerably less.

The player himself put the for sale sign on the window. Expressing he was interested in a new challenge.

The likes of Juventus, the Milans, and even the Madrid clubs, may be interested in a deal closer to the 50 million Euro mark.

Sarri is a big fan, Real are apparently set to fail in their attempts to sign Pogba.

Spurs could sell after the English transfer window closes if they have purchased a replacement.

Italian, Spanish, German and French clubs have until September 2 to conclude their transfer dealings.

This may be a bitter pill for Levy and Tottenham to swallow.  He is renowned for being a tough negotiator.

Christian Eriksen may turn out to be the bargain of this summers transfer window.
