Radamel Falcao has arrived in Istanbul to complete his move from Monaco to Galatasaray.

As we brought you here at Ronaldo.com, the two clubs have been in talks. Apparently an agreement has since been reached, and the Colombian international is no in Turkey to sign his new contract.

According to Sky Sports, Falcao received a hero’s welcome, where according to Sky Sports, an apparent 25,000 fans waited to get a glimpse of their new star.

It is in fact five years ago today, that Falcao made that surprise deadline day loan move to Manchester United.

Falcao has been a mere shadow of the player he was at FC Porto. his record in Portugal, was 72 goals and 17 assists in only 87 games.

This prompted Atletico Madrid to pay 40 million Euros for his signature. There that rich vein of form was maintained. Scoring 70 and having nine assists in 91 games for the Spanish side.

When Monaco started their revolution under new ownership, one of their first signings was the 43 million Euro one of Falcao.

Life started well for the Colombian in the principality, but after a serious knee injury, he was never quite the same.

A loan spell at Manchester United was rather insignificant, and the Red Devils declined the option to buy. This followed a similar deal a Chelsea, which end in a rather similar fashion.

Juve’s Paratici at United’s London office but for which deal?

Juventus director Fabio Paratici has apparently been seen in London at the Manchester United office, to discuss a possible transfer, but for which player?

He returned to Monaco and has shown glimpses of his for golden touch in front of goal. He managed 16 goals in 39 games, across all competitions as the clubs leading goal scorer.

Monaco knows they need someone more prolific in front of goal if they are to avoid another relegation battle.

The arrival of Wissam Ben Yedder up front, plus the acquisition of Gelsons Martins, Henry Onyekuru and Jean Kevin Augustin all of an attacking disposition, is where the French side hopes to find more goals.

Radamel Falcao will be hoping that the Gala fans will be singing his name from the terraces soon enough, not just in the airport terminal.
