Brahim Diaz has suffered a new injury set back adding to Real’s injury problems.
“Following the tests carried out today on our player, Brahim Diaz, by the Real Madrid medical department.”
“He has been diagnosed with a muscular injury to his right anterior rectus.”
“His recovery will continue to be assessed.”

Brahim joined Los Blancos from Manchester City in January 2018, for an initial fee of 17 million Euros.
He managed three senior appearances for City and scored two goals before he left.
Since his arrival in at the Santiago Bernabeu, he has made 11 appearances, scoring once and adding two assists.
He has the support of his manager Zinedine Zidane, who said earlier in the preseason, he believes he the youngster will succeed in Madrid.
Zidane said, Brahim Diaz:
“I like that he always supports and uses both his feet.”
“He likes to be involved in link-up play…he is a good player, very interesting and young.”
“We will see what happens next year but at the moment, he has had minutes and has done really well.”
The player himself is happy in Madrid, saying during the preseason before his injury:
“I want to be at Madrid and I want to play at the best club in the world.
He only resumed full training less than two weeks ago, after his preseason hamstring injury. Zidane will be hoping this lay off will not be as long as that.
