Chinese Super League club Guangzhou Evergrande have reportedly made an offer of €50m for Barcelona’s Malcom
The 21-year-old arrived at Camp Nou last summer from Ligue 1 side Bordeaux after turning down a transfer to AS Roma at the last minute.
But life at Barcelona hasn’t gone as well as Malcom had hoped with the Brazilian struggling for regular game time after making just one start in his eight appearances this season.
Now Sport reports that Guangzhou are eyeing up an ambitious move for Malcom and have become the first team to have tabled a bid, despite the strong interest from clubs in Europe.
The report adds that the Chinese side are offering €50m for Malcom, which is much more than the €42m fee Barcelona forked out for him.
Guangzhou, who are coached by former Real Madrid star and Italian World Cup winner Fabio Cannavaro, are in need of a new forward after losing Ricardo Goulart to Palmeiras.
Ajax star David Neres has also been strongly linked with a move to Guangzhou, who signed Paulinho from Barcelona last summer.
