Eden Hazard reportedly sustained a back problem in Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Manchester United and is now an injury doubt for Chelsea’s next two games
The 27-year-old winger has had an impressive start to the season under new Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri.
The Blues are unbeaten in the Premier League this term and currently lie just two points off leaders Manchester City and Liverpool in third place.
But now the Daily Mirror reports that Chelsea have suffered a major blow with Hazard struggling to recover from a back injury.
The Belgium captain played the full 90 minutes at Stamford Bridge over the weekend, but is now a doubt ahead of Chelsea’s Europa League game against BATE Borisov.
It also remains uncertain whether Hazard can recover in time for Chelsea’s trip to Burnley on Sunday.
The loss of the Belgian will come as a big blow for Chelsea considering Alvaro Morata’s continued struggles in front of goal.
Hazard has managed eight goals and three assists in 11 games across all competitions for Chelsea this season.
