The Colombian is looking where to play next after his loan with Bayern Munich is up and he doesn’t seem to fit at Real Madrid.
Colombian footballer James Rodriguez is currently looking for a club where to play for the 2019-2020 season.
He just finished a loan spell with German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
And he doesn’t seem to be fitting with Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid.
Which is why it was not a surprise that he talked to Atletico Madrid, as reported by Defensa Central.
“James Rodriguez has put all his confidence in the leaders of Atletico Madrid with the wish that they complete the operation that will take him to the Metropolitan Wanda this summer,” reporter Jeiser White wrote.
“According to what Defensa Central has learned, through the player’s environment, the Colombian has spoken with two key people, who have a lot of weight within the mattress organization, to convey their full willingness to play under the orders of Diego ‘Cholo’ Simeone.”
“Of course, they also made it clear that they will not force the sale, to not harm the good relations with Real Madrid,” White continued.
According to the website, the Colombian will still be looking for other options while Atletico looks for the best way to acquire his services.
Frustración es lo que se siente ahora. Así es la vida, el fútbol aún más. Levantar la cabeza y seguir adelante. A muerte con mis compañeros, hemos luchado hasta el final.🇨🇴 pic.twitter.com/oPHoLCnnhh
