Arsenal are reportedly lining up a move for Bayern Munich’s James Rodriguez to replace Mesut Ozil in their midfield
The Gunners’ patience with Ozil is beginning to run out with the German failing to consistently produce the kind of performances that merit a £350,000 a week salary.
Manager Unai Emery, who previously revealed that he can only make loan signings for this month’s transfer window, has allegedly been told the club’s wage bill must be lowered in order to sign player’s permanently.
Now the Daily Mail reports that the Spaniard is looking to offload Arsenal’s biggest earner in Ozil and could attempt a move for James later this year.

The Colombia international has previously expressed a desire to turn his two-year loan deal at Bayern from Real Madrid into a permanent one this summer.
But it’s unclear whether the Bundesliga champions actually intend to go ahead with pursuing a deal for James beyond this season, which could make him available for as little as £3m.
Meanwhile, it’s understood that Arsenal have received an £18m offer from Atletico Madrid for Ozil.
