In what will be Sevilla FC’s fourth transfer of the summer, the Spanish club has reportedly completed the transfer of Luuk de Jong from PSV.
Looks like manager Julen Lopetegui will get his request from Sevilla of a potent striker, Dutchman Luuk de Jong has closed his deal according to reports.
The PSV Eindhoven striker had several options to continue his career as a professional he was being lured by many Mexican clubs from Liga MX.
However, Lopetegui came in as the new Sevilla manager with fresh ideas. The gaffer knows that Wissam Ben-Yedder won’t stay at the club for much longer, which is why he decided to bring a new striker.
The Spanish club led by Monchi, started looking at the options and De Jong was the most obvious one.
A report from Diario ABC from Seville, reveals that the Dutch player finally closed the agreement and will become a Sevilla FC player for the next four seasons.
Luuk de Jong is 28 years old, he scored an impressive 28 goals in 34 matches last season for PSV.
The Spanish club will pay a total of €12,5 million for their new striker and the announcement will happen over the weekend.
It is also reported that the Spaniards also want Hakim Ziyech from AFC Ajax, which will be Monchi’s next target after closing De Jong’s transfer.
