Report: Napoli target Lozano leaves game injured

Hirving Lozano, played for PSV before his probable big-money move to Napoli, only to leave the field injured.

According to Goal.com, he was rather bizarrely selected for a preseason friendly just days or even hours before his record transfer.

It is believed that Lozano is bound for Naples, in a potential 40 million Euro deal.

He has not featured in recent preseason games. The clubs official stance is it was the manager’s team selection.

Lozano’s move will be a record for a PSV player, and while it is still unofficial, it is understood the agreement is in place.

He is scheduled to complete his move any day and what was strange, he started in yesterdays game against ADO Den Haag

The incident happened in the 50th minute. Lozano was attempting a shot, which was blocked. It appeared that the contact between the ball and the players involved resulted in an awkward knock. The Mexican international left the field unable to continue.

Report: Support comes in from teammates for Pogba

Following the racial attack on social media aimed at Paul Pogba, his teammates have given their full support. As we brought you earlier on Ronaldo.com,...

He had to be helped off the field.

PSV manager Mark van Bommel said in his post-match interview, that he had actually been carrying a knock from a first-half collision incident. The second half impact combined with that one left him unable to continue.

The good news though appears to be that 24-year-old Lozano, will not be out for an extended period of time. He will be back to full fitness almost immediately.

Lozano has been linked with a host of Europe’s elite. He was rumored to have been a target for Manchester United, Tottenham, Atletico Madrid, and even Barcelona. All but United signed other targets in that position.

But it appears that Napoli will win the race for the Mexican international.
