Neymar and Julian Draxler reportedly had a heated bust-up in the dressing-room after Paris Saint-Germain’s most recent defeat.
Despite being fully-fit again, Neymar has been unable to prevent PSG’s drastic turnaround in form which has seen them slump to five defeats in their last seven games.
The most recent loss came at Montpellier last week, where Ambroise Oyongoo’s own goal and a second-half strike from Angel Di Maria proved to not be enough as PSG lost 3-2 in Ligue 1.
The setback came just three days after the Parisians lost the Coupe de France final on penalties to Rennes after drawing 2-2 at the Stade de France.
Neymar, who scored PSG’s second goal during the final, later got on the wrong side of the headlines by seemingly striking a supporter as he climbed the stairs to receive his runners-up medal.
Now, French newspaper Le Parisien have reported that Neymar once again got involved in an altercation with Draxler this time following PSG’s 3-2 defeat to Montpellier.
The German winger allegedly upset Neymar with his arguments after the game. This cause the former Barcelona star to retort: “Who are you to talk to me like that? You only play back-passes!”
Apparently, PSG boss Thomas Tuchel and sporting director Antero Henrique had to step in and separate the pair.
Both players have had their fair shares of issues with anger recently due to PSG’s slump in form.
Despite winning a second consecutive Ligue 1 crown with six games to spare, Tuchel’s side have embarked on a worrying run of form.
And Draxler was caught on camera being prevented by team-mate Alphonse Areola from confronting the referee over some questionable decisions after PSG’s humiliating 5-1 defeat to OSC Lille on April 14.
The 25-year-old allegedly shouted at the official: “Why do we have VAR if you do not look? Explain that to me!”
After drawing 1-1 with OGC Nice last weekend, PSG will next take a trip to Angers on Saturday for another Ligue 1 match.
