Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly open to a sensational trade deal with Real Madrid involving Gareth Bale and Neymar.

Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane shocked everyone on Sunday morning by announcing that Bale is “very close” to leaving them, while explaining the winger’s absence in their 3-1 defeat to Bayern Munich.

Although the Frenchman refused to name the team about to sign Bale. Therefore, rumours have been going about like crazy trying to determine who this mystery club might be.

At the top of the list is the 30-year-old’s old club Tottenham, Manchester United and Bayern Munich.

Although the likelihood of Spurs chairman Daniel Levy breaking his strict wage structure to fit in Bale’s lucrative €15m per season salary seems unlikely. While United and Bayern have refused to shed any light on whether they’re interested.

But the Independent claims that a shock trade deal involving Bale and Neymar could be on the table, with PSG allegedly keen on the idea.

The French champions want to see the back of the disruptive Neymar, who wants to leave the Parisians this summer and hasn’t featured in any of their pre-season fixtures.

Reports claim that the 27-year-old had a major training ground bust-up with sporting director Leonardo last week.

So, it’s finally dawned on PSG they have no other alternative but to allow Neymar’s wish of a return to Spain. Furthermore, members of the Brazilian’s camp are trying to force the trade deal to go through.

At 30, though, Bale will only be a short-term solution for Neymar’s departure in Paris. Although the deal could be a win-win for everyone, as Bale’s Madrid nightmare will end and PSG can get rid of Neymar.

Another big winner in this alleged deal would be Real president Florentino Perez, who’s made it no secret that he wants the former Barcelona star at the Santiago Bernabeu.

But the Independent added that the potential arrival of Neymar hasn’t sold Zidane, which means Perez may have some convincing to do first.

Reports have also linked Bale a move to the Chinese Super League.
