Report: Real insult United with latest Pogba bid

If Real Madrid hadn’t irritated United enough already this transfer window, they just made it worse.

According to the Daily Mirror, the latest insult comes by way of a cheeky 27.4 million pound plus James Rodriguez offer.

An offer not only flat out rejected, but not even considered by United.

Paul Pogba did not feature in the last preseason friendly for United.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer maintained he knew all about it. In fact, he made the decision that it was not worth risking the French World Cup winner.

The news out of Old Trafford was that Pogba was in pain due to back spasms. The decision for him not to travel with the team was Solskjaers.

His mere absence only added fuel to the transfer fire.

He is apparently agitating for the move he publicly declared he wanted weeks ago.

Its clear after Madrid already spent around 300 million Euros on signings this summer, money is an issue.

They have almost been publicly humiliated in the lack of interest in their former Galacticos.

Bale’s best offer was a free transfer to China. Rodriguez was sent back by Bayern Munich after a mediocre at best two-year loan spell.

Los Blancos coach Zinedine Zidane has publicly declared Pogba is a player he admires and would like to work with.

His board has now almost certainly written off the possibility of signing Pogba this window after their latest attempt.

Zidane and Real may have to settle for Ajax midfielder Donny Van Beek.

Manchester United appear to have held on to their prized asset for the time being at least. His teammates are confident he will be on the pitch come Sunday.

In post-match comments after the friendly against AC Milan, Nemanja Matic said of Pogba:

“He’s a Manchester United player and of course we will be happy if he stays.”

“I don’t see him going.”

It was clear to see during Saturday’s game in Cardiff against Milan, that Manchester United are most certainly a better team with Paul Pogba in it.
