Sevilla are reportedly set to complete the signing of Quincy Promes from Spartak Moscow before today’s transfer deadline
Promes has developed into one of the Russian Premier League’s best players in the last four years.
The Netherlands international had been linked with a move to Southampton last season.
But Mundo Deportivo reports that Sevilla are set to splash out €21m on Promes this summer.
The Dutch forward first caught Sevilla’s interest in their 5-1 defeat to Spartak in last season’s Champions League group stages, which saw Promes add two goals and assists.
Now 26-year-old is set to sign a four-year deal with the Spanish side.
Promes has scored 59 goals and registered 24 assists in 115 league games for Spartak.
New Sevilla manager Pablo Machi is also apparently set to bring his former Girona star Portu over to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium before today’s deadline.
