Report: Zaha is furious he is staying at Palace

Wilfried Zaha is believed to be furious that Crystal Palace refused to let him leave.

We have brought you all the offers made for the wantaway Ivory Coast international.

They have ranged from 55 million pounds cash, too 100 million pound player and cash swap deals.

Arsenal tried and gave up, going for Nicolas Pepe. Everton tried harder than anyone, and eventually gave up and went for Alex Iwobi.

Iwobi, 23, underwent a medical in London, rather than travel to Merseyside, after agreeing on a five-year deal. His fee was a fraction of Zaha’s would have been at 35 million.

Crystal Palace appeared to move the goalposts upon every offer. After all, they had no need to sell. They had just cashed in on Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

They also knew that the Zaha deal had to be extra sweet. Palace was committed to giving 25 % of any fee to Manchester United as part of the deal they did when he returned.

According to The Telegraph, this saga has left Zaha livid.

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson was caught at the club training ground gate today and said:

Everton, Alex Iwobi, Premier League

Alex Iwobi wants to make a name for himself at Everton

Former Arsenal youngster Alex Iwobi wants to leave his Gunners days behind and make a name for himself in his new Premier League club.

“Wilfried Zaha’s beef is with the chairman and the board, not me.”

Zaha submitted a formal transfer request in a bid to force the move. But to no avail.

The window is now closed until the new year. Palace is stuck with a player who has unequivocally stated his desire to leave.

He could go to play outside of the UK, as the Spanish, Italian, German and French windows are open until September 2nd.

The problem here is that there are very few clubs with the kind of money Cyrstal Palace wants.

Plus the clubs that do have that kind of money do not want a player that has already failed once on the big stage.

Zaha is angry and hurt, but if he is to ever get his dream move.

Wilfried Zaha needs to be professional and get the job done on the pitch. To entice a club to come up with the kind of money Palace wants.
