Report: Zidane now needs Bale to help him

Zinedine Zidane now needs Gareth Bale to be a part of the team.

Oh, what a difference a couple of weeks, a couple of failed transfer attempts and a couple of injuries make.

They have made a huge difference to Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane’s outlook on Gareth Bale.

Only a couple of weeks ago, Gareth Bale was told he was not part of Zidane’s plan, and to find another club.

He was bound for China, in a deal that would have earned him 1 million Euros a week. Only for the Real board and club president Florentino Perez to pull the plug at the last minute.

There was a barrage of insults publicly aimed at Zidane by Bales agent for the lack of respect he had shown the player.

He was left out of multiple squads, sat on the bench as a used sub.

Then did not travel with his team to a preseason tournament in Munich due to being deemed ” not to be in the right frame of mind.”

But was pictured playing golf with friends, while the team was away preparing for the upcoming season.

Zinedine Zidane has no regrets over Real Madrid return

Zinedine Zidane isn't regretting his decision to return to Real Madrid and is unfazed by rumours linking Jose Mourinho to his job.

But oh how things have changed. There have been no new signings at the Santiago Bernabeu. The injury list just keeps on growing. Now with Eden Hazard ruled out.

According to Sky Sports, Zidane has had to do some backtracking. First with James Rodriguez and now with Bale.

Zidane said:

“It seemed that (Bale) was going to leave but today he is here with us.”

“The dynamics are changing, things are changing.”

“From now on, I will rely on him, as on others.”

“I will rely on all the players who are here.”

“He has his place, he is an important player and I hope that all the players will make the task of choosing a team difficult.”
