Bayern Munich have announced that Franck Ribery will not travel with the squad to Greece ahead of their Champions League match against AEK Athens
The 35-year-old winger remains unavailable with a vertebral blockage after missing Saturday’s game at Wolfsburg, where Bayern returned to winning ways.
Niko Kovac’s side claimed a 3-1 victory after a brace from Robert Lewandowski and one from James Rodriguez ended Bayern’s four-game winless run in all competitions.
But the Bavarians announced on Twitter that they will have to make do without Ribery again, whose made four Bundesliga starts this term.
Therefore, Arjen Robben and Serge Gnabry will likely start on the wing once more for Bayern at Athens.
Goalhereos Lewandowski and Rodriguez are also included in the squad that will travel to the Olympic Stadium.
The Bundesliga champions are second in Group E with four points from their opening two games.
